Marlin Factory Closing
Marlin Firearms to Close Next Year
Marlin is owned by Remington. My question is this: will Remington continue manufacturing at least part of the Marlin line of products elsewhere, or is this the end of the line?
I still have a very nice little Marlin 989 M2 carbine (.22 long rifle). I loved that little rifle, with its gold-plated trigger and walnut stock.
The common wisdom is that the firearms bubble is beginning to slowly deflate. We should expect to see a decrease in manufacturing capacity. But the good news is that we should be able to find ammo when we need it.
